SMALL COLLAGE - 'Eyes of a Child'
These Alpaca Art Collages are one-of-a-kind and consist of many different fabrics, colors, textures, motifs, and computer generated photographs. The layers are sewn with embroidery and free-motion stitching in a variety of colors and different sorts of novelty threads. The Collage is thrown in the washing machine and then the dryer allowing the piece to shrink and pucker, the edges to ravel and the fibers to soften. Yet another step involves embellishing with small charms, beads, buttons, trinkets, a wisp of alpaca fleece, or maybe even a curly-Q from a grapevine.
This NEW smaller size Collage called "Eyes Of A Child" features a young South American girl gazing intently at something - perhaps alpacas in the distance!
The Collage is behind glass, mounted on matboard, and framed in an 8"x10" black shadowbox frame.
