Nigerian Dwarf Goats
Our Nigerian Dwarf Goat herd is one of the oldest herds in the United States. One of our original does was the third Master Champion to receive that recognition.
We have found that goats and alpacas make wonderful companions for each other. Their care is so similar. With them we use much of the same equipment, medications, and hay/pasture.
Because the goats don't mind bumping into each other, they're great for desensitizing alpacas that kick when touched. In addition, the goats produce way more colostrum than their kids need, so we save that for needy crias, and we, of course, have lots of wonderful milk should the crias need that as well. |
