Will Teach You to Hand-Shear Your Own Alpacas
Hand shearing (Huacaya or suri) - safe, comfortable and distress-free. Will "custom shear" to your specifications. Skirting of badly burred or contaminated fiber done during shearing. Allow approximately 1-1.5 hours each, depending upon temperament of alpaca. Require one handler to assist. Better yet, save a bundle for years to come: I'll teach you to hand shear your own animals! |

| | | | Pricing and Terms | Hand shearing: $40.00 per animal, plus travel expenses if in excess of 1 hour's driving time of Jamestown, NY.
Shearing Training Session: $100 plus travel costs if in excess of 1 hour's driving time of Jamestown, NY. Fee includes half a day at your facility, demonstrating shearing techniques, skirting, and fiber sorting, and then assisting as you practice what you've learned. Time can be expanded if desired. | |
