TRANPORT FREE within a day's drive from northern New Mexico
The health and well-being of our alpacas, llamas, and livestock guardian dogs is tops on our list of essentials in our lives. Do visit us to learn about how a small alpaca establishment deals with small-farm issues. Aspen Ridge Alpacas of Northern New Mexico is surrounded by the Santa Fe National Forest and located at an elevation of 8700 feet. This altitude seems to be ideal for the animals; they even enjoy the snow! Thanks to the advice of people like Dr. Stephen Hull, Dr. Norm Evans, and our local agricultural agent, our alpacas and llamas are enjoying their lifestyle. We've learned so much from our animals, too. We enjoy meeting alpaca people whether you have been in the business for many years or are just learning about the benefits of alpaca ownership. Count on us to give you honest information about our alpacas. Our health records are always up to date and on display in the barn. Our facilities are clean and neat. |

Pricing and Terms We will work with you on terms and pricing. Since we are small, we cannot offer large packages, but we can offer healthy animals that are reasonably priced. Small packages of three are sometimes available. We will transport within a day's drive. After a sale, we continue to give support. If you want to keep your newly purchased alpaca with us, we will give 6 months free board. |

Additional Details Our understanding of our alpacas' needs is constantly in progress. We attend regional and national seminars and conferences picking up valuable current information. In addition, we have two seminars a year right here at our place. Nationally recognized experts have visited us and have been impressed with the facilities. Our fiber-related seminars are usually in April/May; our health/handling seminars are in September or October. Past presenters include: Suzy and Kiva Belt, Claire Walker, Cathy Spalding, Karen Kinyon, and Cindy Fronk. In 2003, Dr. Stephen Hull, nationally known alpaca "guru" gave a seminar/workshop. He was impressed by our facilities and rated us at the top 5% of all the farms he's visited and critiqued. In 2005 Russell Gent from New Zealand spent a week with us teaching shearing on his table. We then went to NZ to visit him and his wife in November for two weeks! 2006 Deb Hill presents How to Build a Successful Alpaca Business. | | |
