Small Ranch Care for your Alpacas
Whether you need temporary or long-term care, we offer boarding for females, crias and yearling males at affordable prices for top quality care. Our animals are guarded by two Akbash that patrol the perimeter fencing, pastured behind 5' no climb fencing, and secured inside closed barns at night. We feed 2nd & 3rd cutting orchard grass hay, Doc Evans formula pellets, and free choice minerals. Every animal is assessed at least twice a day. Crias are raised to be calm, confident adults. Veterinary care is minutes away. I have taken LaRue Johnson's neo-natal class and successfully assisted our dystocias. Columbine Ranch offers boarding on a very limited basis, as we feel small herds thrive on daily attention and care. We are proud of our facility and the safe, healthy, secure environment our animals enjoy. |

Monthly agistment is $100 and includes routine health care (toenail trimming and worming, simple tooth trimming, coats for any extremely cold nights after shearing, lots of TLC on a daily basis). Veterinary expenses are not included. Rate is discounted for clients desiring to agist animals purchased from us. | |

Additional Details
We keep space available for females here for breeding and animals living here belonging to our clients/friends. We do NOT quarantine incoming animals from different farms together, which can limit our available space. Feel free to call or email with special needs, and we will try to help or can refer you to other farms that provide top quality care. Our farm is BVD free and testing according to our ranch policy is required: all animals PCR tested and all pregnant females need an SN test within 20 days prior to coming on our ranch. | | |
