Leasing Bred Females
Leasing a bred female for one breeding cycle enables you to accelerate the growth of your alpaca herd for significantly less investment than if you bought a female outright. For about one-half the price of an adult female, you will own her cria outright. Leasing contracts range between $8,500 to $10,500.
The benefits to you are that you can maintain gene diversity and alpaca quality--yet still enjoy the financial benefits of owning alpacas.
Even if you don't yet own a ranch, or you're in the process of developing acreage and ranch facilities for alpacas, leasing a bred female enables you to get a quick-start in this business because you will have "crias on the way."
