Shearing
In addition to shearing our own herd of alpacas, we are able to provide shearing services to alpaca farms in Central/Northern California. Shearing of alpacas is done on a table and llamas are shorn while standing. References can be provided if requested. We will be preparing a circuit for the 2009 shearing season. So winter 2008 is the time to let us know if you would like Russell to do your shearing in 2009. |

| | | | Pricing and Terms | $25 per alpaca-field cut
$30 per alpaca-show fleece and/or stove-piping
$75 for the ranch visit/set-up fee (50 miles or less). Distances over 50 miles will be billed at $1.25/mi - one-way distance.***Now reduced to $1.00/mi as part of our shearing stimulus*** Schedule shearing with your alpaca neighbors and share the fee. When necessary, additional ranch set-up fees will be $40.
Llamas $30
Teeth $10 and nails $5.
