Update: I've retired for the most part for now. (can you tell I still want to be shearing!)I am working with a new shearer who is looking for work. please contact me if you are in need of a good shearer.
Jay offers an alpaca shearing service in the Northern NY and Northern Vt areas for alpacas herds of 3 to 30. Jay studied shearing with the nationally known Bill Watkins and enjoys the process of shearing. Jay uses the ProTie to stretch the alpcas on a mat. Nail and teeth trimming available. All equipment provided. Two able-bodied adults are required to assist. Clean area to work with power and good lighting also required. |
