He can do one on the basics of genetics and basic camelid genetics but can also cover a range of topics including color genetics, inheritence patterns of inherited diseases of camelids, pedigree analysis, domestication of camelids, the origins of the North American herd, and more. |

Additional Details Dr. Andrew Merriwether has a Ph.D. in Human Genetics from the University of Pittsburgh, an M.S. in Genetics from Pennsylvania State University, a B.A. in Medical Anthropology and a B.S. in Biology from Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Merriwether was a post-doctoral fellow at the Keck Center for Advanced Training in Computational Biology at the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center and the University of Pittsburgh 1993-1996.Dr. Merriwether was a faculty member at the University of Michigan holding the positions of : Assistant Professor of Anthropology, Assistant Professor of Biology, Assistant Professor of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from 1996- 2003. Dr. Merriwether was also a faculty member of the Statistical Genetics Department at the University of Michigan and of the Center for Molecular and Clinical Epidemiology of Infectious Diseases.
