Able Oaks Ranch hosts numerous events and workshops throughout the year. Free, Open Ranch Days are held nearly every month, providing the opportunity to visit a working alpaca ranch for a first-hand experience of these charming animals. This free event enables you to see and handle award-winning alpacas and miniature llamas. The owner, Virginia Lyons, will be happy to answer questions that you may have about getting started in the alpaca business, setting up barns, fences and other ranch facilities. Get all your questions answered about breeding and birthing, herd management, worming, vaccination schedules, nutrition, and general herd management.
