Summer 2010 Alpaca and Nature Day Camps
Contact us to be on our 2010 camp mailing list.
We offered 3 day-camp sessions for 9-15 year olds. The camp gives campers experience with alpaca care & training; nature studies, spinning, weaving and outdoor studies. From 8 AM to 3 PM our campers actively worked with the alpacas, including feeding, barn clean-up, halter training,& fiber studies. Campers dye fiber w/plants found on farm. In the cottage they learn about alpaca fiber,to weave and spin. Our beautiful garden provides a classroom to learn about growing, harvesting. The day camp sessions are tailored to the group of campers. Returning campers will work on more advanced skills and projects. If your child wants to attend in '10, each session will bring new adventures and they will be able to really work on their spinning & weaving skills. I can hardly wait to have the campers back on the farm. |
