Certified Sorting
I am an Apprentice with "Certified Sorted", and need to sort a lot of fiber to complete my apprenticeship. Call to book me for your shearing day! Get everything done in ONE DAY- shearing, sorting, packaging to send to the processer-- no more bags of fleece sitting around waiting to be "dealt with"! And, for that fiber you DO have sitting around taking up space, call me! I will charge 1/2 price while an apprentice, or I will take your coarse grade fiber as payment- your choice! For you, the fiber producer, sorting will mean more yield per fleece: less waste off the animal and reduced loss during processing; and higher quality end products! I will also give you herd management ideas, as seen from the fiber, and I can assist you in making breeding decisions, to make your next generation better! Contact me for more information! |
|
| | Pricing and Terms Special pricing while completing my apprentice requirements: $10 per bagged fleece $7.50 per alpaca at shearing -OR- your Grade 5/6 fiber as payment
***additional charges may apply for travel, $.55/mile | |

Additional Details Fiber processing takes an average of 35-50% of your precious harvest as waste!! Having your fiber Certified Sorted will reduce that waste by 10-15%-- that means more fiber or products to sell!! In addition, Certified Sorted end products are superior because the micron range of the fiber in the product is within 3 microns, which means a softer, smoother feel that will not pill or shed!! Fiber sorted by a Certified Sorter (or apprentice!) is also eligible to be submitted to the fiber co-op North American Alpaca Fiber Producers, formed especially for fleece sorted by this incredible process!
