Felt Making
Urban Dreams Farm has a 40" wet felting machine that can be used to make felt from your fiber. It can be made in a variety of thicknesses for a variety of uses; from use in craft projects to clothing and rugs. This is a great way to use your 2nd's and 3rd's. Pricing and Terms
We are new to this process, so we are keeping our prices low as we learn. We are charging $3/hour to make felt from fleece that is provided. This pricing scheme is extremely reasonable and will change once we can say that we are fully experienced, so take advantage now to get your fleece felted. |

Additional Details
Wet felting is the process of using water, heat, a change in Ph, and agitation to cause the fibers to become permanently attached to each other in such a way that they form a fabric. The process takes time and depends on many factors. Some of the factors can be controlled by an experienced fiber artist (like the change in Ph and amount of agitation applied). Also, the size or amount of fiber being felted will cause the processing time to change. An approximately 2' * 3' piece takes about 3-4 hours to finish.
