Maple Brook (Accoyo) Shabu

White, 1386615, Full Peruvian

This lovely full Accoyo has great presence and is covered with ultra-fine fleece--16.7 micron. Her sire is Maple Brook's multi-champion Accoyo Bolivar who is a Vengador son. Her dam, Accoyo Angelique, is a daughter of Accoyo Godfather, a relatively rare bloodline in this country.

During a visit with a customer and his consultant, we had her take a look at Shabu's fleece. She could barely contain her excitement when she took a look at the "matchstick bundles" in this little girl's fleece that go all the way down to her belly button.

We have bred Shabu to our multi-champion full Accoyo herdsire, Prestige, for a fall 2009 cria. This cria will be outstanding since both parents share similar fiber characteristics.

  NWA, LTD Accoyo Prestige
    White, 822221, Full Peruvian

Prestige is a white full Accoyo son of Pachacuti. This wonderful male has had a very illustrious career in the showring, having won four blue ribbons, two color championships and a reserve color championship. All this was accomplished in very large level five shows against some of the most highly recognized herdsires in the country.

He has presence and attitude which he infuses into his offspring. Additionally, he has proven to be a pre-potent herdsire, passing on his superior traits to his offspring; each cria that he has sired are a great representation of what this male can produce. They have developed high frequency bundling crimp, which is uniform in micron and character, on perfectly conformed frames.

As an eight-year-old breeding male he has maintained a 23 micron fleece. He tends to allow the dam’s color to pass through so you can anticipate color in the offspring while still achieving fineness of fleece.

Discount offered for drive-by breedings.

First time in the showring and he brings home the blue!

Stryker looks more and more striking every time we look at him! He's got a perfectly straight topline and is always erect and alert--a real showstopper!

Stryker, sired by our multi-champion full Accoyo herdsire, Prestige, is on the path to becoming one of the notables on our farm. Not only is he very squarely proportioned, but he is displaying the crimp that Prestige is known for passing onto his offspring. His crimp and brightness are remarkable and have been present since the day he was born. His density is perhaps the greatest of all of our fall 2009 offspring.

Prestige's May 2012 histogram is remarkable. Amazing might be a better word. He redefines the term "lingering fineness" with his results of 22.1/3.9/17.6/3.3% greater than 30. Big deal, you say. Did I tell you that those are his results as a 12 year old breeding male!

We were also elated to get his full Accoyo dam's histogram back following our April 2012 shearing. Staying power is the key to success in this business and Stryker's dam certainly has it, also. At the age of eight she has an AFD of 21.1/3.7/17.7/2.0% greater than 30--precisely what you should be breeding for.

With his very solid genetics and the lingering fineness that is present in his parents, Stryker should be a strong consideration for any high-end breeding program.
