| | | Starlight has a very robust, yet feminine built. Her legs are straight and compliment her very square and correct confirmation. Her fleece is fine, with marvelous staple length and density. She has wonderful crimp and sheen. I guess you could say she's the complete package. I can't say enough great things about this pretty lady! But let's not stop at her conformation, and fleece, take a look at her lineage! Drambuie's Dark Knight is her sire, and Drambuie is her grand sire. Drambuie came from the Rural Allianza farm in Peru. He was first owned by Snowmass Alpacas, and then sold to Pucara Farms in Australia in 1997, where his offspring continuously take the show circuit championships.
Starlight's breeding to Amadeo is a success, she gave birth to a beautiful, healthy fawn male on Friday, Nov. 13th. She has currently been exposed to Sauk Creek Sebastian.

|
| | | Amadeo is the white version of his dad! He has a typey head with very silky, fine fleece (only 18.3 microns @ 22 months of age), is full Peruvian, and is covered from head to fetlocks! Amadeo is a fleece machine. His conformation is perfect as well. His fiber is just getting better with age. Oh, the loft, and the handle. Take a look at his histogram...Take a look at the soft yarn produced with his 2007 fleece.
Amadeo has settled his first female, and she's due the end of October. We can't wait to see what his pairing to an Allianza/Snowmass female will produce.
Amadeo took 3rd place at the GMAF show in Madison, WI., and now 1st @ the California Classic Skein Competition. As mentioned before, he is only getting better with age. His sire, Sunburst Cortez, took 1st at Ohio Alpacafest 2000 & Another first at 2002 MAPACA. His half sister, Peruvian Cheyenne, is a 6X champion & reserve winner with 8 blue ribbons.
Amadeo is halter trained, always available for hugs, a

Picasso Farms Illuminate was named because of the silky fineness and sheen in his crimpy fleece. You can literally see the "glow" from across the room. It's no surprise when you see the genetics he carries~ Allianza/Snowmass/Sayvon, and Cortez. Illuminate very much resembles his mom when she was this age. His confirmation is very square and correct, with straight legs, and fleece down thru his toes. His expressive eyes, and top knot are displayed perfectly with his typey head.
