Kateri

Light Brown, 1164732, 1/2 Chilean, 1/2 Peruvian

Kateri is named for a Mohawk princess who several times saved the lives of some of the first French missionaries in North America. This seems like a good name for a female sired by Tecumseh. If background is what you are looking for then the names Schwarzkopf, Royal Fawn, Aristocrat, and Mephisto will catch your attention. Kateri's dam is a non-fading true black whose fiber has held onto it's qualities even as she has gotten older.

Kateri's fiber is soft with good crimp and incredible shine. Conformation is solid, as well as her bite, a trait she passes on to her cria. Her light brown color is perfectly accented by her true black muzzle and feet.

Her first cria is South Haven's Princess, a bay black, who has won several awards including Color Champion and reserve Color Champion, along with first place rankings. Her second cria, born in July 2008, is Tehya, daughter of Goldsmith, has won numerous ribbons (1st and 2nd place). Her 2009 cria, Pocahontas, was sired by T

  Express's Accoyo Adonis
    White, 1364071, Peruvian

This full Accoyo Express son is big, bold and confident. Adonis sheared just under 10 lbs as a Juvenile and to top it off we uncovered a very pleasant surprise, a pencil sized dark brown spot on his neck. This bodes well for his future since his sire, Express has shown a propensity to throw black. Additionally, his sire has been taken off Alpacastock's mobile breeding program so having his book closed is probably just around the corner.

Adonis boasts some superior quality from his dam's side as well. Aayliah's first cria, Adrianna has won a remarkable 6 Color Championships and will soon become a true foundation female in our breeding program. Aayliah's dam, Accoyo Matilda is owned by NorthCoast Alpacas where she has produced 2 herdsires sired by Accoyo Legacy. One of them is Accoyo Asante and he is one of the darkest full Accoyo's in the country.

Adonis has that classic fading fawn head/neck and is quickly growing into a very macho male. He is the alpha male in the

When we bred one of our best foundation females to an Accoyo Express son, Chaz is what we envisioned. As soon as he was born, we were amazed by this little boy. He took a day and a half to fully dry. He has curls from his nose all the way to his toes. He has a light fawn stripe from his top knot all the way his back. He fades from the light fawn to beige and then white on his legs and belly. He may turn white after shearing, just like his sire did. His fiber has so much luster, you would swear he could be a suri with huacaya crimp. I fully expect him to have the bold crimp style of his sire.

Chaz's sire is Express's Accoyo Adonis, an Accoyo Express son from Autumn Alpacas. We chose to bred to him, not because of his sire, but because of his dam. She is from the North Coast Alpaca breeding program. She has produced champions for them, and several herdsires. Adonis is very fine and has extreme density, shearing 10 lbs as a juvi.

Chaz's dam is our own Kateri. She is a show quality producing dam. All of her previous offspring have won blue ribbons, and 2 have taken banners.
