| | | A Hemingway son, Haldane will take your breath away! An outstanding example of top line genetics, his fleece is fine with an abundance of sheen and vitality, along with beautiful architecture. He is dense, has a silky soft handle and has coverage from head to toe. His namesake, Roger Haldane, is the original alpaca pioneer from Australia, who selected and owned Haldane's dam, Esmeralda (from Rural Alianza, Macusani) whom he then had mated to Hemingway. The result of this thoughtful breeding is spectacular!
Haldane's two years of breeding efforts on our farm have yielded an impressive group of offspring. They look like clones and possess his gorgeous head, fully covered straight legs, perfect bite and exquisitely soft and crimpy white fiber. They'll make quite a Get of Sire entry in the coming show season! Like his sire, Haldane holds his histogram from year to year. Check out his consistency:

Gala is a very pretty Haldane daughter. She is 15/16 Peruvian, 3/8 Accoyo, and 5/16 Hemingway, who appears on both sides of her pedigree. On the dam's side are Vengador, Camilio and Hemingway, so this girl is loaded with powerful genetics. Her granddam Camille, medium fawn, is one of our superb producers of award-winning cria, including Mi Alma, first place winner and Fawn Reserve Champion at International Alpaca Odyssey (two years in a row) and the AAA Futurity. Gala herself has dark pigment and was begging to be bred to color so we bred her to our multiple champion fawn herdsire Crescent Moon's Romeo. The result was quite stunning--a perfectly conformed dark fawn male! We're sending Gala for breeding to dark fawn Studmaster male Brunello. She's almost certain to throw a beautiful fawn animal.
