GLL Notchka
| |
Dark Brown, 810326, Full Peruvian
| | | Notchka is that glorious mahogany color and possesses a dignified and majestic presence. She is a big, proud, full Peruvian and the sentry for our herd. She has a fine fleece with individualized locks, a silky handle and nice luster, great coverage head to toe, and look at that topline.
Notchka's dam, Ninotchka, is the Grand Dam of Mahogany Prince! and "may just be the Grand Matriarch of the Imports" says GLR, where she continues to be the grand dam of their breeding program.
We believe Notchka will prove just as valuable to our program and we plan to breed her to the best sires in the country. She is a great mom and produces awesome crias. 6 of 7 crias she has produced have been girls! She recently had a beautiful bay black female, La Femme Nikita, this spring from her breeding to true black award-winning Batiste. We have decided to breed Notchka to 10 Time Champion LFA Accoyo Belmonte, known to throw color as well as champion quality, for a 1/2 accoyo deep colored | |

La Femme Nikita’s rare and beautiful coloring just catches eyes immediately. She is an exquisite bay black with beautiful maroon tips and deep, true black points on her gorgeous suri head and legs. Her fleece is remarkably consistent, nice twists from her head to her tail, excellent luster, and a silky hand that won her a blue ribbon in the Kentucky Classic this spring. Her sire is a true black, two-time champion and four-time blue ribbon winner, BBFAI Batiste. Her maroon dam, a rare Ninotchka daughter (grand dam of Great Lakes Ranch), comes from outstanding genetics that produced the likes of Mahogany Prince, and she’s been an incredible producer in her own right, delivering 6 out of 7 female cria thus far.
La Femme Nikita sells with her maiden breeding this fall to our selection of multi-champion herdsires. We would suggest our full Peruvian 5- Time Black Champion, Cantano’s Blazing Son, to compliment La Femme Nikita’s gorgeous coloring, markings and fine, consistent fleece for a stunning deep colored cria. His first cria hit the ground this spring and they are nothing short of spectacular. Or there’s always our full Peruvian 1/2 accoyo 11-Time Champion MacGyver’s Armed & Dangerous, or our gorgeous silver gray 5-Time Champion, Sterling Silver, to choose from as well.
La Femme Nikita is consigned to the Riverstone Suri Select auction in July.
Congratulations and thank you to Rick & Linda Krauser of Top Knot Suri Farm for their winning bid of La Femme Nikita at the Suri Select auction.
