  Peach Boy
    Medium Fawn, 170501, Full Peruvian

The great breeding of this full Peruvian herdsire – Elar on his sire's side and Aureo on his dam's – shows through. In the show ring, judges commented that he had magnificent presence and luster you could see from across the show ring. Lots of luster and lock formation with excellent conformation – that’s Peach Boy’s crias too! RFSS Peaches, his first cria to reach showing age, was First Place at the 2001 Kentucky Classic, in a class of nine light suri females, at just six months of age, and Second Place at the 2001 MaPaca Jubilee, finishing just behind the Champion Fawn Suri Female. Peach Boy’s 2001 crias included RFSS I’m A Peach, light fawn suri female, multiple (11) blue ribbon and Championship winner and the second highest selling suri in the 2003 AOBA National Auction at $49,500; RFSS Peach Melba, dark brown suri female, blue ribbon and Championship winner, and RFSS Pandora, beige award-winning suri female. Peach Boy’s 2002 crop, light and dark, were equally awesome: RFSS

Hershey represents the best of fourteen years of suri alpaca breeding at Ridgeview Farm. He may truly be better than even his nationally-known sire, Peach Boy. Hershey, through Peach Boy, is a half-brother to many other suri notables, such as RFSS I’m A Peach (second highest selling suri in the 2003 AOBA National Alpaca Auction at $49,500, right behind our Suri Lee daughter, Licoricia, who sold for $50,000), RFSS Peach Melba (multiple ribbon winner and Champion), RFSS Peach Perfection (blue ribbon winner at the 2005 MaPaca Jubilee at just eight months of age), and RFSS Peaches (blue ribbon winner). Through his dam, USA Godiva, Hershey is a half-brother to our herdsire, black Godiva’s Peruvian Royal Chocolatier (“Choco”). Through both his sire and dam, Hershey is a full brother to our treasured black female, multiple blue ribbon-winner and Champion, RFSS Peach Truffles. (It is interesting that black Truffles is practically a clone of her black mother and fawn Hershey is practically a clone of his fawn sire.) In the four shows in which he was entered, in front of four different judges, Hershey took three Firsts (including at the world’s then largest alpaca show, the 2005 MaPaca Jubilee, at just seven months of age) and two Championships (including beating an Accoyo AOBA Champion). Hershey turned two years of age in September of 2006, we put him to work in November, breeding him to two females, and he settled both of the girls with just one breeding each. Hershey's first two cria have arrived, and they (a fawn male and a black female -- just like Hershey and Truffles) are stunning, with the famed Peach Boy stretch, perfect conformation, and lots of luster and locks.
