Daisy of Spring Valley

White, 1090147, 1/8 Chilean, 1/2 Peruvian, 3/8 Other/Unknown

Daisy is a nice female who has shown herself to be a good mom with plenty of milk. She does exhibit a bit of an "attitude" towards the end of her term. She breeds easily and usually takes on the first breeding.
Daisy is a Hemingway granddaughter. Her fleece is crimpy, dense and nice. We are so happy with the cria she had from her breeding to our hersdire Bennie that we have repeated the breeding for a fall 2008 cria.

  Bennie
    White, 30369863, 1/4 Bolivian, 3/4 Peruvian

What can we say about Bennie? Bennie was born just days after we purchased his mother. He had a very rough beginning and pulled through it all thanks to the hard work of Katy Spears and Jeremy at Fairhope Alplacas where he was born. And of course the fact that he had an undefeatable urge to live. And are we thankful. After all the poking and prodding and bottle feeding and supplementing, Bennie still is a sweetheart. And the main man of Willow Glen Farm! Although he is a little on the small side, his conformation and fleece are great. We are anxiously waiting for his first cria to arrive in the fall of 2007.

Pantera is the first cria sired by our own Bennie. You always wonder how a first cria from a sire or dam will be. We are thrilled with this girl. Pantera is a fairly calm alpaca who has turned into a great mom. Her fleece has good density and consistant fineness. Pantera may have one of the best fleeces on our farm.
She loves to run and pronk. Pantera does have an overbite, so she will not be in the showring. But as she becomes of age, we will be showing her fleece as it is so nice. Her micron count is 17.8 at 3 1/2 years of age and after having had her first cria.
Pantera's first cria has arrived-a true black male out of our own Hobby Horse Peruvian Whirlaway. We are quite happy that he is showing no sign of anything wrong with his bite. Pantera has turned into a great first time mother with a son full of life and mischief.
Fall of 2012 brought a breeding to Snowmass Quechua's Quest. This should be a fantastic cria!
