Shanay is another fine foundation female here at Tanasi Trace Alpacas. She is a stately lady with white, dense, fine fleece with the typical Hemingway amplitude giving an exceptional handle that the spinners love to work with. Her dam is MSA Issabeta who is sired by Hemingway. Shanay's sire is NWA Ltd. Accoyo's Finito out of Felix. This combination of genetics has been the base of our breeding program and has given us many ribbon winning and champion alpacas. Shanay is an independent mother with healthy nurturing abilities, proven with a beautiful fancy (medium fawn/white) daughter who is now weaned. Shanay is bred to Nyala's Accoyo Aries for a fall, 2008 cria of distinction. This cria will have Accoyo Peruvian genetics in both parents. We expect show quality from this breeding.

Mountain Gold is a dark fawn herdsire from Snowmass Alpacas' award winning breeding program. He is proving to be a genetic powerhouse due to his excellent sire and dam, both of whom have produced numerous award winners. MG has won ribbons in national and regional halter and fleece shows under a variety of prominent judges, and his crias are now winning in the show ring. Mimosa is the farm's PR girl. She is inquisitive and gentle, not a bit shy of people. She also is an exceptionally pretty girl, light brown, with buttery soft fiber from her nose to her toes, a trademark of her sire, Mountain Gold, from the Snowmass line. Mountain Gold is a multiple ribbon winner with strong Peruvian genetics out of New Zealand breeders, acquired before the registry closed. MG improves all his crias, and Mimosa is a fine example of his prowess. Mimosa's dam is Shanay of the Trace, another of our solid foundation females that has what it takes to produce winners in the show ring. Shanay is out of our full Accoyo Finito, and Hemingway, so the Hemi-Accoyo genetics prove themselves even in the second generation. Mimosa will add great genetics and color to any breeding program.
