| | | Soft handle, abundant fleece and strong conformation are qualities you will like in ‘Chai”. A well balanced alpaca, Chai has great bone density, which along with her fleece qualities she passes on to her cria. This curious girl is an easy keeper, an amazing milk producer and a joy to have around. In October 2007 Chai delivered a beautiful true black female, the daughter of our dark brown male Windrush Tobiano. Windrush Shiimsa has silky bright fine fleece and will no doubt be a solid producer like her dam Chai. October 2008 Chai again delighted us with another daughter Windrush Kanika, out of our color champion light fawn herdsire Windrush Jennifer's Zindel. Kanika started off as a bay black but when shorn this spring is now a beautiful, shiny true black. We will be breeding Chai back soon to one of our Windrush Herdsires and are tempted to repeat either the breeding to Tobiano or the breeding to Zindel to see if we can get another beautiful black Chai daughter.

| | | A striking herdsire, Windrush Jennifer's Zindel carries the best of traits from his sire Dom Lucilio and Grandsires PPPeruvian Royal Fawn and Peruvian Fabio. Zin's dam Enchantment's Peruvian Jennifer was the cornerstone of our breeding program and held her fleece fineness throughout her lifetime. Zin's fleece takes your breath away with its fineness, density, high frequency crimp, small bundles and a spectacular brightness. Broad chested and heavy boned Zin is an alpaca that has always wowed the judges. One judge commented that he had looked at Zin as he entered the ring and hoped that his fleece was as good as the rest of him - the judge was not disappointed. A color champion and consistent winner in the show ring this young male already has pregnancies confirmed for next spring. We can hardly wait to see what he produces. There are not many full Peruvian Dom Lucilio offspring, even fewer who are offered at this reasonable breeding fee. | |

***Kanika is in the ribbons again, this time at the TxOLAN show. Well done Kanika!
At her first show, the New Mexico State Fair, Kanika took second in her class and then took Reserve Color Champion. The judge was impressed with Kanika's fineness, handle and density! What a great start to Kanika's show career***
Soft, fine, black and beautiful. Kanika is rapidly becoming the beauty of the pasture. When she was born we thought she was a bay black, but when we sheared her this spring we discovered a luxurious true black fleece underneath her brown cria tips. Kanika has the bright, consistent high frequency crimp of her Color Champion Sire Windrush Jennifer's Zindel and the color genetics of her dam AB Iyiyiy (or Chai as we call her). Kanika is going to be a lot of fun to show in this next show season, her eye catching style and her exquisite fleece are sure to bring her some nice ribbons.
