Carina is my only Peruvian Presidio daughter. Presidio is an outstanding male out of Accoyo Caligula. A 7 time Get of Sire Winner his crias have over 65 color championships and over 90 blue ribbons. His breeding book is now closed.
When we discovered Carina on someone’s sales list we knew she was an alpaca we had to add to our herd.
Carina has a fine, fine fleece with high frequency crimp. She is a great dam and an absolute sweetheart as well. Carina has given us some beautiful offspring, all with her gentle, easing going personality. She’s a keeper who we hope will be with us for many years.
A striking herdsire, Windrush Jennifer's Zindel carries the best of traits from his sire Dom Lucilio and Grandsires PPPeruvian Royal Fawn and Peruvian Fabio. Zin's dam Enchantment's Peruvian Jennifer was the cornerstone of our breeding program and held her fleece fineness throughout her lifetime. Zin's fleece takes your breath away with its fineness, density, high frequency crimp, small bundles and a spectacular brightness. Broad chested and heavy boned Zin is an alpaca that has always wowed the judges. One judge commented that he had looked at Zin as he entered the ring and hoped that his fleece was as good as the rest of him - the judge was not disappointed. A color champion and consistent winner in the show ring this young male already has pregnancies confirmed for next spring. We can hardly wait to see what he produces. There are not many full Peruvian Dom Lucilio offspring, even fewer who are offered at this reasonable breeding fee.

Carissima has always been a good looking girl, but when we sheared her, her fleece amazed us. Soft handle, exquisite brightness, high frequency crimp and dense, dense, dense. The combination of her dam Carina (a Presidio daughter) and our Color Champion Herdsire Windrush Jennifer's Zindel (a Dom Lucilio son) proved to be a good one and we will be repeating that breeding combination once Carina has delivered her Fall 2008 cria.
Carissima has good confirmation and has been a healthy cria; reaching 101 lbs by the time she was 8 months old. She is a sweetheart and a joy to be around.
