Spectra is a lovely copper fawn and white suri female with very good fiber. She has well-formed individual locks that are uniform throughout her coat. She has excellent conformation and is a sturdy, healthy dam. In 2003, only months before delivery of her first cria, Spectra developed symptoms consistent with meningeal worm. She was treated promptly and recovered, with some residual stiffness in her hind quarters. This condition has not affected her ability to breed quickly, deliver efficiently, and provide her crias with bountiful milk and diligent attention.
Spectra's first cria (September 2003) was an exquisite gold and white female, almost her duplicate. She has since gaven us 3 fantastic males, a beautiful maroon female and most recently, a fancy patterned female.
KOBUK
Dark Silver Grey, 1168488, 1/2 Bolivian, 1/2 Peruvian
Here's an absolutely fabulous young DSG male with the added benefit of having no tuxedo, no white facial markings of any kind -- no white at all that we've found! Sired by Mucho Romantico, a DRG Peruvian suri, and born to 007's Ms. Galore, a MSG Bolivian suri, Kobuk has two generations of gray to back up the color he exhibits! With illustrious names such as Platarosado of Bolivia and Bolivian Black Magic on one side, and Magnifico and Mucho Romantico on the other, you can be darn certain that Kobuk will throw color == and that the color he may "specialize in" could be gray!
Kobuk's first crias are due in July, so watch this site for updates!
Kaleida is a large, well-proportioned female with excellent bone, as one might expect from a cria out of Kobuk, whose conformation and bone structure are excellent. Kaleida was given an opportunity to strut her stuff in the show ring at the Western New York Alpaca Show, where she was awarded a first place and praised by the judge for her stature, her four-square conformation and her no-nonsense, walk-in-and-take-charge gait! This gal will undoubtedly produce offspring with her size and early maturation and increase the percentage of those qualities in your herd. Since we do not breed for color, and because Kaleida does not produce fiber in the grade range our buyers need, she is priced to sell.
Kaleida delivered her first cria very early in the morning on April 14th 2011. Although we lost him to a fluke barn accident, his fiber was absolutely exquisite and fine as anyone could want. Kaleida delivered her 2012 cria sired by Big Bad VooDoo Daddy on July 10th, a lovely, tall, solid light brown gal with excellent fleece structure and fineness. Obviously Kaleida can produce crias with much improved fiber. Here is Kaleidoscope on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&NR=1&v=LReP5XSb59A
