Ursa is a tall, 1/8th accoyo, proud mama that produces a lot of milk with loads of colostrum. Her first cria -"TZ Somethin's Soltar"- had an IGG count of "2,235". She is a great mother that cares for her cria and stands still when they are nursing. She had her cria unassisted and gave us a beautiful multi-colored boy. Her fiber is very fine with good luster. She is being bred to a full accoyo Rockstar boy named Candelwood Accoyo Magnum of Ravada Hills, for a 9/16's accoyo cria, due around July-2008. She would make a fine addition to any herd.
Magnum is another magnificent example of the type of offspring being put on the ground by his full Accoyo sire, Rockstar. His genetics are superb with Torbio as his grandsire and full Accoyo Luna as his dam. She is also the dam of Baron Lafite and DaVinci.
Magnum is off to a great start with his 1st Place ribbon (11 in class) and Reserve Championship at the Michigan Interntional Alpacafest. Look for him at other shows in 2005 and 2006.
His luster, locks, and conformation are close to perfect and he has inherited that wonderful "Torbio" head.
SHOW UPDATE: At the 2006 ESTES PARK ALL SURI FLEECE SHOW, Magnum was awarded 1ST IN CLASS (10 entries), WHITE COLOR CHAMPION (69 entries), and BEST LOCK OF SHOW (284 fleeces)!
UPDATE 1/08: The first Magnum crias have arrived! Our own Ravada's Helix (3/4 Accoyo out of our Riga) is everything we could have hoped for. He has "rolling skin" all up his neck and on his sides which can be an indicator of density; great
Pistolero is 9/16ths accoyo has dense, fine, lustrous, locking, fiber. His sire is Candlewood's Accoyo Magnum who is a Rockstar/Luna boy. Rockstar was "Herdsire of the year" in '06. Magnum is a spitting image of his sire and is a very likely candidate for his own "Herdsire of the year" in 2009. As for Luna...When you look at who's who in alpacas, she is either mother or grandmother to a large portion of them. Pistol's mom (Ursa) is a granddaughter of Accoyo Baron. What more can be said about Baron, other than the fact that he is no longer with us and, obviously, unable to reproduce himself. Will consider selling half interest. Call if you would be interested and we'll discuss the possibiblities. Extra-Extra...Pistol has just finished his spring showing tour. Out of three shows he got three ribbons! At the Futurity he beat a Kahuna boy!
