Notchka's dam, Ninotchka, is the Grand Dam of Mahogany Prince (Notchka's maternal sister is Nikatia). Ninotchka "may just be the Grand Matriarch of the Imports" says Great Lakes Ranch, where she was the grand dam of their breeding program until she passed on this past summer. Notchka's dam has produced offspring that sold for over a total of $250,000 and Notchka's 3 sisters are building the foundations of some of the nation's premier breeding programs: Park View Alpacas, Alpaca Jack's and Meadowgate.
Notchka is proving just as valuable and she is our dam of choice to bring those top outside genetics into our program. She is a great mom and produces awesome crias, 5 of her 7 offspring have been girls and even when she has a boy, it's the kind of male that you don't want to let out of foundation. Last spring she had a beautiful bay black female, La Femme Nikita, that was the high selling colored maiden female at the Riverstone Auction. This year she delivered an unbelievab
Platinum Marquis
Medium Silver Grey, 850795, Full Peruvian
Platinum Marquis has proven himself nationally in the show ring. Shown, as a juvenile, at the three largest North American alpaca shows (AOBA,AAA Futurity and MAPACA) in 2004, Platinum Marquis won Champion and Reserve Grey Color Champion in these three shows. His luster and his lock are so remarkable that many breeders ask if he is an accoyo. He is a full Peruvian with accoyo blood from his dam's (Silverbelle) side (Bruxo, Uribe and Helios). Silverbelle was the Reserve Grey Color Champion at both AOBA and AAA Futurity in 2002 as well as the highest selling suri alpaca at the 2002 AOBA National Auction. Platinum Marquis' sire, Silver Marquis,is a deep gunmetal silver grey, a product of two silver grey parents, Silver King and Silver Gem. Platinum Marquis, a third generation silver grey suri, sired his first crop of crias born in 2006.All of them are colored suris with excellent lock and luster and out of 14 born, 10 are grey.Watch for the debut of some of Platinum Marquis' cria in th
UPDATE: Napoleon proved himself at the prestigious Futurity 2010 to be one of the best black males in the country when he beat the 2009 Black National Male Champion and came in right behind the 2010 Black Futurity Male Champion in his class. He has completed his show career as a 3 Time Champion.
Napoleon Dynamite is a full Peruvian true black male out of Platinum Marquis and our dam of Champions, Notchka, a maroon Ninotchka daughter. Napolean carries grey genetics from his sire and is maternal brother to our champion herdsire, Bad Bad Leroy Brown.
Napoleon is not out of MacGyver lines and is a true black multi-champion, a commodity that is hard to find these days. He has incredible luster, and a very fine fleece for a black. Jude Anderson after awarding Napoleon a championship said she admired his fleece traits for a dark suri. Napoleon now has his first pregnancies confirmed and we are excited to see his production hit the ground next summer/fall.
CONGRATULATIONS! Anita Jacobson of Sierra Nevada Ranch is the new owner of Napoleon! He will be California-bound very soon, and available for breedings there!
