Hemlock Brook's Con Olivia

White, 1367423, Full Peruvian

A daughter of Snowmass Condornar, Olivia is a large full Peruvian female, with great conformation. She has terrific coverage, with dense fiber - micron count 23.7. Her blanket weight at this year's shearing was 4 lbs. Olivia has been bred to our bay black herdsire, Cody Bear, for a 2009 cria. She may be purchased separately, after weaning her 2008 cria, or in a package, with her 2008 female cria, Sophie, at her side, for $13,500. Olivia has it all - great conformation and fiber, and a proven mother. She is offered with free life-time breedings to any Black Creek Farms exclusively-owned herdsire.

  Shepherd's Creek El Zorro
    Light Fawn, 1250299, 1/2 Chilean, 1/2 Peruvian

Shepherd's Creek El Zorro is the beautiful son of StudMasterTM El Toro. He has grown to closely resemble his sire in stature, and sports a dense, crimpy, bright fleece that feels like butter. Zorro's dam is Brookhollow's Carmela, the very fine fleeced daughter of true black Chinchero.
In the show ring, he has been proclaimed by Mike Safley, Wade Gease and Amanda Vandenbosch to have both the finest fiber and the longest staple length in the class . He was placed 1st as a Juvenile in a class of 12 at the North American Alpaca Show, and was a close contender for Reserve Champion. As a yearling Zorro placed second at the Empire Alpaca Extravaganza behind a full accoyo Championship winner. There were 14 alpacas in the class.
Zorro's fineness, combined with his density and brightness is what we are striving for in our breeding programs. He easily settled his first two females this spring, and is anxious to continue his career!

  Micron Count
2009: 16.6

Print Listing | Certificate | Histogram

Sophie is a white female, with a small brown spot on one ear. She has nice conformation, strong bone structure, and good coverage with dense crimpy fiber, AFD 16.6 at one year, and 19.5 at age 2. Sophie's sire, Shepherd's Creek El Zorro, is a multiple award winner, with a micron count of 18! She is a granddaughter of El Torro, and has Peruvian Snowmaster in her lineage. She has produced 2 lovely female cria with gorgeous fiber! She delivers easily and possesses great mothering skills, with a plentiful supply of milk. Sophie was recently bred to Dutch Mountain's Praetorian, and we believe this pairing will result in a quality offspring in 2014.
