| | | Gasparilla is quite the beauty queen! She is all suri with a stretchy conformation and a beautiful tuxedo rose gray fleece. There's really not much to fault Gasparilla on...she's a pretty little girl. She did not get shown as a juvenile/yearling due to stress during her weaning and transport to Colorado. As a yearling Gasparilla had great luster and gorgeous little pencil locks from head to toe. Gasparilla has a very desirable typey head complemented by her shaggy top knot and fuzzy ears. Her conformation is perfect and her bite is right on. She has superb fleece coverage all the way down to between her toes. Gasparilla went into the breeding program spring 2007 and was bred to Accoyo Chief Ouray. She delivered without difficulty a 1/2 Accoyo dark fawn female April 2008. Gasparilla will be bred back to Chief Ouray for a spring 2009 cria.
Update: Gasparilla is confirmed pregnant by ultrasound on July 12, 2008 to Toni's Accoyo Chief Ouray.

|
| | | Chief Ouray is out of Chief Qualchan LCA, a medium fawn full accoyo and Raggy Ann De Peru, a lovely full accoyo female. Chief has high luster, solid conformation and consistent lock structure with a correct bite. Since he has color in his background, he will hopefully throw color when bred to color. He is 1/2 brother to Toni's Accoyo Bronze Perfection, the only Light Brown Full Accoyo Female in the country! Chief Ouray matured early (a consistent quality in both males and females of this line) and started settling females spring 2007. He's ready to go and so far has been a one breeding 'get it done' guy!
It's official...Chief's first cria arrived April 6, 2008. She's a beautiful dark fawn little girl. Chief is due to have two more crias later this year.
Chief is co-owned with Sonrisa Alpacas and Queen Mother B Alpacas. He stands stud at Suris of the Western Slope, owned and operated by Dr. Toni and Gary Cotton.

Garnet is going to make a super production female with all the color and Accoyo genetics in her pedigree. Garnet is out of, Gasparilla, a tuxedo rose grey female out of Lord Greystone (Silver King) and beige Accoyo Chief Ouray (out of Chief Qualchan). She's a medium fawn color with super luster and excellent lock structure. 1/2 Accoyo and dark fawn with gray genetics make for very exciting possibilities when making breeding decisions. So far Garnet has been very healthy and has the makings of a very typey suri girl.
Update! Check out Garnet's new little girl who arrived 05/20/2011. She is over 1/2 accoyo with all kinds of color genetics in her pedigree. Her grand dam is rose gray, grand sire is full Accoyo Chief, dam is half a Accoyo med fawn and sire is 5/8th Accoyo champion Dash of Splash (out of a multi-dam)! Whew...that's a mouth full!!!
Garnet slipped her pregnancy in 2011 but is now confiormed pregnant to our DSG herdsire, Luna Rosa's Elite Tomahawk. Lots of Grey Genetics in this equation - we are excited about the possibilities!
