Snowmass Satin Gold
Dark Fawn, 812530, Full Peruvian
This daughter of the renowned Accoyo-bred 4P Legacy captivates all who see her with her expressive eyes and perpetual smile. She is a personality-plus alpaca, curious about anyone who might have a treat for her.
Satin is a healthy female with moderate bone, perfect bite, good conformation and upright carriage that she passes on to her offspring. Her crias especially exemplify the traits of dense, long-staple neck fleece, super soft and so crimpy it coils, and fully-fleeced legs.
Satin conceives easily, has delivered her crias unassisted, and has been a very patient and attentive mother, providing ample milk. Satin exhibits grey fibers in her face and tail. She has produced two stunning rose grey offspring and another fawn with silver grey ears. Satin's luscious dark fawn fleece is dense, crimpy, well locked and uniform. Says judge Susan Tellez, This is the fleece you want to get your hands into.
Premier's Rubio
Medium Rose Grey, 841216, 1/2 Chilean, 1/2 Peruvian
Rubio has a fabulous pedigree. His renowned grandsires are Peruvian Bueno and Peruvian Don Julio. His rose grey color genes come from Cloud 9 Comet whose offspring have proven themselves many times over in fleece and halter shows. Rubio's dam, Premier's Jolie, has blue ribbons to her credit and is a full sister to Premier's Absolute, well known nationally for his outstanding show record. Rubio's sire is Snowmass Black Legend. Julie Skinner said of Rubio in Snowmass' 2006 auction catalog, "Premier's Rubio..one of the finest grey studs we have seen." Rubio throws grey or black out of grey. He has several champion offspring to his credit.
Rubio's fiber is butter soft. We are seeing the beginning of guard hairs as he nears age 5. He has crimp to his chin, and even his neck fiber is prime in quality and length. In fact, we entered neck fiber in spin-offs and got blue ribbons! The fiber from his second shearing was so lofty that we had to enter it in two bags - it just blew t

Each parent carries a gene for black and has produced grey. Although he is white, Coronation has proven himself to carry grey, producing a fawn/rose grey female cria with the most endearing demeanor. She just kissed and kissed the arm of a US Army soldier until he fell in love!
NEWS FLASH 2010: Sheared 2 lb. 13 oz neck fleece!
Peruvian Bueno, 4P Legacy, Peruvian Don Julio genetics.
Proper conformation and perfect bite. Coronation's demeanor is exactly what we'd like to see in every alpaca in our pastures. He is alpha without ever squabbling. His pasturemates just know he is #1, simply by his presence. Coronation was a dream cria: literally halter trained and walking at side instantly.
Coronation's heavy fleece features a 5.5" staple, high-frequency crimp, astonishing brightness and well-formed bundles which separate like pages in a book! This exquisite fleece is very soft-handling: its low scale height lending a smooth, almost greasy feel. The prospect of this kind of fleece in his offspring, manifesting in grey or black, is positively delicious!
Coronation is the son of MRG Premier's Rubio, sire of Champions, who Julie Skinner of Snowmass Alpacas counts among "some of the finest grey studs we have seen". Rubio's Blue Ribbon fleece remains very uniform and fine, despite his status as a mature, breeding male.
As crias, Coronation and his siblings have had show-ring presence, ultrasoft fleeces and crimpy coils clear up their long-staple neck fleece. Satin's daughter Satin Sophisticate was a Grey Color Champion at 10 months of age.
