| | | Cassie did it, she produced a medium brown female that is darker than the male she was bred to. Her last cria, Carly has a black face and black tips just like her dad, Lord Stanley. Cassie has the finest fleece on our farm with a micron of 15.7 (taken at 11 mos) plus she had 0% greater than 30 so she should retain her fineness as she get older. She is the granddaughter of Stachowski's nationally known herdsire, Black Magic. She has a bright fleece with nice staple length and she has a large brown spot on her side just like her dam, Clytie. In fact her brown spot almost mirrors her mom's in size and placement.
Cassie is average in size with above average bone structure. Her conformation is correct and her topline is straight. She is currently bred to our brown Conan son for a fall '08 cria.

Tachon is a nice size boy with wonderful presence, big bone, and a great head. To top things off, he has three large brown/fawn spots on his side and black pigment around his eyes and mouth.

Lars is growing into a nice looking macho and we are waiting on his first crias. He is full Peuvian and his sire Accoyo Tachon came to Michigan from Accoyo America in Oregon. Tachon was owned by our farm for a while before we turned him in to acquire partial interest in Accoyo Shangri La.
His dam Cassie is a Black Magic granddaughter and has an ultra fine fleece. We think that Lars will be able to produce colored offspring.
Lars has a 1/2 brother Ryan that looks so much like Lars that we often had trouble telling the 2 apart. Flying Pony purchased Ryan to stand stud on their very impressive herdsire row in Pennsylvania.
We struck a deal with our shearer's to let them use of our unproven males for breeding. They ended up choosing Lars over all the other candidates, including some full Accoyos. They said that they were very impressed with his presence, staple length and crimp structure.
