Katarina has one of the best conformations on the farm. She is well proportioned, is big boned, has great capacity, a straight topline & legs and an impressive head. Her dense fiber has beautiful bold crimp, consistent throughout, a very soft hand and continues to win ribbon after ribbon.

Katarina's male siblings, Donatello's The Don and Camelot’s Challenger, are both Blue Ribbon herd sires. Challenger is also a Color Champion and both brothers earned her dam, CP Gayle, a ribbon in a Produce of Dam class in 2003. Her sire, CP Bobcat, is also a multiple ribbon winner.

Her success in the 2005 show ring includes a Third Place at the All American Futurity, a Second Place (in a class of 12) at MaPACA, a Blue Ribbon at SEPA and, closing out the 2005 fall show season, a Blue Ribbon along with a Reserve Color Championship (out of 48 brown females) at the Empire Alpaca Extravaganza.

When we bought Adrastea at the Breeder's Choice Futurity & Sale, we fell in love with her soft handle (2008 AFD=15.8, SD=3.5, CV=22, %>30=0.6). ... we had suspicions that this lovely beige girl, with dark pigmentation and gray fiber at her skin and in her topknot, would very likely throw something very special.
