Aliccoya Peruvian Marissa

Beige, 848679, Full Peruvian

UPDATE: Another female cria! Pictures of Marissa and her new daughter coming soon.

Marissa is a very nice 3/4 Accoyo lineage female from Caligula, El Moustachio, and Hemingway bloodlines. This attractive female has the substance and bone for which the Accoyo line is known. Her crimpy fiber has very good density and consistency.

Marissa delivered her first cria on September 20th, 2005, a handsome beige male. As we expected, she delivered easily and has proven to be an excellent mother, just like her own dam, Mariposa.

Marissa was not bred back right away as the male we had planned to breed her to did not become available in 2005 as planned. When it became too late for a winter breeding, we made the decision to hold her open for rebreeding in 2006. She was rebred in July for a June 2007 cria...perfect timing for the Upper Peninsula.

We bred Marissa to Snowmass King Crimson, our brown Reserve Color Champion herdsire. Since Marissa's mother and Ma

  2002 Peruvian Lord Stanley
    Light Brown, 844392, Full Peruvian

Lord Stanley is a 6X Color Champion and our signature herdsire. He is off and runnning in the cria production department. His first 3 offspring took Get of Sire at the '08 WOTC and Mirage just came back from the Indiana Invitational Show (level V) with a blue and Fawn Color Champion. **Update-Mirage just did it again, she took first at IAOBA out of 12 and finished ahead of a Jeremiah offspring. She then went on to take the Reserve Color Championship. His first son, Slick has alreadt notched 2 Color Championships as well.

Stanley capped off his stellar show career with a First and Color Championship for fleece at MAPACA. In another notable performance at OABA, Stanley got the nod over his 1/2 brother who also has 6 Color Championships. Isn't sibling rivalry great?

Stanley has inherited brightness, uniformity and a high frequency crimp from his sire, Conan, a nationally known herdsire who now resides at Dos Donas in Missouri.

Currently Stanley has 10 cria on the

This ready to breed, beautiful maiden has lovely TRUE BLACK fiber! Her large frame and upright bearing make her a standout in any herd. When you add crimp from her skin to her fiber tips and coverage from her beautiful head to the tip of her toes, this girl is something SPECIAL!

Just as we expected, Maya proved to be a show quality alpaca. She won a Black Female Color Championship in her first show...the 2009 Level 5 Indiana Alpaca Invitational!

We have been torn in our decision as to which of our herdsires we would use for Maya's first breeding: Our Peruvian Black Jag or Avalon's Peruvian Tri-Star. Both have produced outstanding black crias and have something special to bring to such a match. Ultimately we have opted to hold off for a spring 2011 breeding so that we can leave this decision to the lucky breeder who buys her. That person could be you! Contact us for further information or to arrange an opportunity to come see her. Maya is currently at Avalon Farm until she is bred.

All AE crias have been BVD-PCR tested negative.
