Jolie is a very dense and solid production female. She comes from nice bloodlines with both parents being Peruvian imports. She carries a soft fleece that is holding its fineness well. Her conformation is wonderful, and her large heavy frame will serve her well as she ages. Jolie's first cria, Tierra, was COLOR CHAMPION at the National Alpaca Show. Jolie is a good mother with plenty of milk and a great protector. I can halter her without hesitation, and she leads well, she is still the first one to "high tail it out the barn door" as soon as she sees "human-kind" coming. Jolie likes to keep her distance that is for sure. I am able to give her shots with just one helper, and I am able to cut toenails too, but kisses ... forget it ... Jolie is not going to stand for that!
Jolie has dark mascara around her eyes, this leads me to believe that her dam, Jasmine (of course the name alone brings images of dark eye liner around the heavily mascara eye lashes) has some color to her background. We will never know since she was a CPeruvian import. Her Sire, Conway, came on the 6Peruvian importation and his registered color is MF. So with a MF sire and a DF dam, I can see breeding her to a grey herdsire. Her 2010 cria was just born and what a beauty he is!! Full Peruvian, appaloosa harlequin in grey!! His picture is posted here and his name is Confetti. Beautiful density and tight crimp at the skin. Gotta love it! Jolie is an easy keeper. She is in great condition and has been without health issues all her life. She sells with a free breeding to the Vintage Herdsire of your choice, and free board for 1 year at Vintage Alpacas.
