It is with much reluctance that we offer Pilar, one of our foundation females, to you. We wish we could sell her and keep her, too. Pilar is most noted for being the mother of brown MaPaca Champion, Suri Lee, himself the sire of many exceptional suris, including black Licoricia, the highest selling suri in the 2003 AOBA National Auction at $50,000. Pilar's other crias include brown color Champion, RFSS Scarlett, a beautiful, beautiful dark female, and blue ribbon-winner (Kentucky Classic) RFSS Peaches. Pilar gave birth in 2008 to a beautiful dark fawn female cria, RFSS Penelope (see separate listing), sired by award-winning Maserati of PVA (son of Cantano of Peru). We then bred Pilar to our award-winning 3/4-Accoyo WRSR Peruvian Illusion, and she gave birth in September to a beautiful brown and white fancy daughter, RFSS Magic Tricksy. (All of Pilar's crias have her wonderful personality.) Because we think so highly of Penelope, Pilar has been bred once again to Maserati.

  Maserati of PVA
    Medium Brown, 841414, Full Peruvian

The coverage on Maserati is phenomenal; the fiber flows from the top of his beautiful award-winning head to the ground at his toes. Even novices pick out Maserati as something special when they visit the farm. His appearance is matched by his wonderful easy-going disposition, and his crias have excellent conformation and are dripping luster. In addition to the awards listed for Maserati's dam, First Noelle, First Noelle's dam, Pperuvian Libby’s Noelle’s awards include: Color Champion AND Breed Champion, 1997 All American Alpaca Futurity; First, 1997 AOBA National Alpaca Show; Color Champion, AND Breed Champion, 1998 All American Alpaca Futurity. First Noelle is a daughter of the famed Ricardo, who is a son of Peruvian Aureo, and Pperuvian Libby's Noelle is a daughter of nationally-known Accoyo Pperuvian Torbio. Maserati is co-owned by Joyce Johnson, Shadowland Ranch Suri Alpacas, Defiance, Missouri, and Dennis Watts and Ardelle Watts, Thunder River Alpacas, Cumming, Georiga.

Meteor, Cantano, Aureo, Torbio, Fuego -- you'll find all those nationally-known herdsires in the pedigree of this beautiful young lady. Her sire is Cantano (sold for $265,000) son, Maserati of PVA, from one of the premier alpaca herds in the country. Her dam, Pilar (see separate listing), one of our foundation females, is the dam also of one of the top herdsires we've had here at Ridgeview Farm, Suri Lee, sire of Licoricia, the highest selling suri in the 2003 AOBA National Auction at $50,000. Penelope is so much like her mother that she could be her clone -- she looks like her, walks like her, and even holds her head just like Pilar. When selecting our show string for Spring, 2009, there was no doubt that Penelope would be a part of it. Penelope has been bred to our award-winning true black full Peruvian Godiva's Peruvian Royal Chocolater ("Choco"), and she will, of course, come with a full reproductive guarantee and a 10-day live cria guarantee, and she comes with a free rebreeding (which includes up to 60 days free board and a 10-day live cria guarantee) in 2010 to Choco or any of our solely-owned herdsires.

Financing of Penny is available for up to two years, with at least 20% down and monthly payments at 4% interest.
