April's Charm

White, 1224917, 1/4 Chilean, 3/4 Peruvian

Charm is EXACTLY what you look for in a quality production dam--her first cria has been proclaimed as the densest, and about the best overall, on the ground out of Don Reinaldo. She just didn't improve herself, she produced a high quality ribbon winner, right out of the gate. Her second cria, beige Ruby Sunshine, is a gorgeous Evander granddaughter who is already boasts his famous distinctive head.

And her temperament could not be any better. The first two words you would use to describe Charm are CONFIDENT and PATIENT. She's a nice girl with a durable frame and a uniform, dense fleece.
She's open for the winter and currently offered for $18,000 in a package with Ruby Sunshine, 25% off their list prices.

  Hearns
    White, 1178180, 1/4 Chilean, 3/4 Peruvian

Hearns receives compliments on his fleece from everyone who sees and touches it--from fellow participants at a NEWAIM skirting clinic to farm visitors, to the shearer, even the vet.

Hearns has nice square conformation, good bite, and his terrific fleece has uniformity in every aspect: excellent crimp throughout, density, shine and handle, a very nice lock structure with impressive staple length, and ample coverage. We've even noticed that his crimp has improved with each shearing.

The crias that he has so far produced have been just as beautiful--they clearly resemble eachother so he has a nice type imprint. They also have improved or at least equaled the fiber characteristics of their dams. And best of all, he's thrown 80% females!

Ruby is one of the sweetest females on our farm. She features very dense grade 3 fiber with a dramatic crimp. She is very easy to handle and gets along well with her herdmates. We held her back on breeding at age 2 due to a plateaued, smallish size and she rewarded us with an impressive late growth spurt, now one of our taller females and the picture of health.

Ruby is bred to our young fawn herdsire Zephyr. We held back putting her on our sales list because she is one of our favorites, but the last two seasons brought us an influx of light-colored females so we have to lighten our load in order to darken our herd.
