Dark Silver Grey
DBC Francis
Pattern, 826801, Bolivian
Francis is a beautiful Bolivian Suri with an amazing ability to pass color - 3 of her 4 crias are colored and 2 are Grey! She has dark pigmentation and a light fawn spot across her back. Her 2004 cria, Zora, was sired by Full Accoyo Belmonte. Zora is Medium Fawn and took a 1st Place and Reserve Championship at the 2005 KY Classic before she was sold to Windswept Alpaca Farm. For her 2005 cria, we decided to breed her to our full Peruvian, Dk. Fawn herdsire, Radar, whose sire is the Grey Gunsmoke and grandsire is the famous Grey Condor! Francis and Radar proved to be a great combination - a Grey Multi cria, Phaeton, was the result! We bred her back to Radar for her 2006 cria, and she produced a second grey cria, Ravada's Tulok! Francis is being bred back to Radar for the 3rd year in a row. She's a wonderful Mom and will add color, lock and luster to your herd!
Rocky's Radar
Dark Fawn, 832932, Peruvian
Radar is our Dk. Fawn full Peruvian herdsire who has sired 5 crias with amazing colors! He is passing on the color genetics of his famous Grandsire, Condor, and Sire Gunsmoke. Looking for Grey and exotic colors? Consider Radar for your dam.
Bred to White dams he has produced 3 Greys (two Silver and one Rose Grey) and 1 Dk. Fawn. Out of our Brown dam, Que Suerte, he has produced a beautiful Lt. Silver Grey Appaloosa (Ravada's Ceres)!
Both of Radar's 2006 Grey crias will be part of our 2007 show string. It should be fun!
We are very excited about our recent acquisition of Ravada's Tulok from Ravada Hills Alpaca Farm. Our thanks to Ron & Sandy Hendricks for making this fine young junior herdsire available!
Tulok is the offspring of a White dam, Francis, and a Dark Fawn Gunsmoke son, Radar. He has phenomenal fiber - great locks, luster and density. He has started his show career with a bang - 1st at the Southern Select under Jude Anderson, 1st at the very competitive Futurity under Amanda Vandenbosch, and 1st and Color Champ in the Buckeye show under Wade Gease. Tulok was awarded the Blue by Amanda in a class of nine and her comments included "solid bone, independent locks right to the skin, and good density"
Update! Ravada's Tulok just took 1st Place in the 2008 Futurity Show , Silver Grey Yearling Males. Judge Mike Safley's comments were about his Luster, great independence of locks, & Density. Way to go Tulok! That is 2 Futurity Titles in a Row.
Tulok's crias are arriving in lots of colors - TB, Brown, grey, fawn. Take a look at Armande who took a Reserve Championship in a Level 5 Show at only 6 months of age!
