| | | Forest Green Sunshine is one of the most inquisitive animals on our farm and always sure to be following us around as we do our chores. Sunshine as we call her is the great-granddaughter of Tupac Amaro, one of the legendary True Black Chilean imports in 1986. With those genetics as a starting point her fleece characteristics have been improved through two generations of TB and medium brown. Even at age 13 she holds her large frame in perfect conformation and her fleece characteristics and density have held up quite well. Our past experience in breeding her to Studmaster K-2 demonstrated just how well she can produce excellent cria. This year, knowing what she is capable of, we've bred her to the newest herdsire at the Sugarloaf Alpaca Company: Snowmass Charmer. We’re betting that we can take Charmer’s incredible fleece characteristics coupled with his recessive color genetics to produce an incredible cria.
