Miss Daisy is a proven female; very easy to breed, to give birth, and takes excellent care of her crias, with plentiful milk. She is ready to give birth to her fifth cria in the Spring of 2009. In May, 2008 she gave us her second female, who looks just like her daddy, Peruvian Victory! Her first cria was a dark fawn male who has wonderful fleece and has taken ribbons when in shows; her second, a true black female who was never shown, and has now given birth to a beautiful cinnamon brown male!Mr. Darcy, her light fawn cria of 2007 placed fourth in his first show where there was heavy competition.
Ciena Jaxon was the first female born on our Farm, following four males! We were delighted to see her - a lovely true black, looking just like her sire: Axion Jaxon of Colorado! In the Fall of 2007 we bred her to our full Peruvian herdsire, Victory, and in Fall of 2008 she produced a full fleeced cinnamon brown male cria, named Elonzo, who is still at her side. We bred her back to Victory, for a Fall 2009 cria. Ciena has a friendly albeit choosy character, and is not hesitant to let us know just what she wants! We sent some of her fleece to The Alpaca Blanket project in 2008 for the second run at Pendelton Mills, and are eager to see how the blankets come out.
