Consistency in his offspring is what makes Dakota a true impact herdsire. We have selected him for our breeding program for his extreme density and deep bold crimp characteristics. Along with his very typy head to toe coverage we have not over-looked his heavy bone and muscle structure.

Dakota’s coverage and yield results have been confirmed by skin biopsy. He shows a S/P follicle ratio of 10.9 – well into the “superior” category for a breeding male at age seven - AND Dakota passes it on – he breeds true for crimp and coverage, and has increased yield on every dam he has covered.

All of the crias born on our farm show his heavy coverage and deep amplitude crimp through out their blanket, neck and legs. These cria have hit the show circuit and they are bringing home ribbons and color championships in every color.

Layla is another one of our girls that has a lot of potential. She grew up strong and healthy and is a beautiful alpaca to look at. Layla is a proven producer with two crias on the ground. The First, a true black female that we are retaining as her replacement and her second, a brown boy that is currently by her side.

Her dam, Lupita, is one that we imported from Chile in 1998. She has been a great producer for us. Lupita has a strong and square frame and has always had plenty of milk. Layla follows in her mother’s footsteps producing abundant milk and breeding back easily. Layla is currently open because we are trying to get back to all spring births, but if you want her bred this fall, just let us know.

Layla’s sire is the legendary JSFI Dakota. Dakota has won 9 Get-of-Sire classes and his offspring have accumulated more than 75 blue ribbons and Color Championships. Dakota gave this girl a lot of coverage and a great head that he has become so well know for.

Layla sells with her 2012 male crias as well as a live birth and reproductive guarantee as well as a breed back to any of Kinney Valley Alpacas, Inc. fully owned males. Really this is a three-in-one package at an incredible price!
