We couldn't wait to see this first cria from Pegasus, and she's a stunner. Pegasus is an incredibly dense fawn Peruvian from a dam that produces all sorts of colors. Elena's dam is a white out of a dark grey. Elena is red brown with white markings on her face and feet, with a beautiful head and soft, crimpy fleece. The white markings and her rose grey bib suggest that Elena is apt to grey as she matures. Curious, sassy personality. Excellent growth. The judges love her striking conformation and typey head. Bred to Alacante, our Camilio son who makes greys with super-crimpy, fine fleece.
UPDATE: Elena has a baby! A gorgeous brown female with lustrous, crimpy fleece. She will be rebred to Alacante for another super cria next year.

Son of PPeruvian Camilio. This guy has fleece like a rug with incredible density and crimp. AFD 20microns in 2001, 25 microns 2004.  1st place Alpacapalooza 2001. 2nd place at AOBA National Halter Show 2001 and 1st place BigE 2002. His color and fleece qualities will be an addition to anyone's alpaca herd. We see superlative fineness in his crias, including a dark brown male with a micron of 15! His first daughter, Smoke, a silver grey, had 6 blue ribbons and 2 banners before she retired to breed. He has also produced fawn, rich brown and true black.  His 2005 crias are spectacular and appear on our sales pages.
