| | | Seldom does one see this kind and quantity of suri locks with a micron count below 20. However, Lightning Locks is not your typical male. Few suri males can claim ownership to four white Championships in one year, all four being in major alpaca shows. Lightning Locks' pedigree goes back to one of the top Accoyo suri herdsires ever, Pperuvian Uribe (Durazno). We think Lightning Locks' pictures, fiber analyses, and show record speak adequately for him. No sooner did Lightning Locks complete his phenomenal show career than he started settling females, at just over two years of age. Lightning Locks comes from two of the premier alpaca herds in the country, Snowmass and Latah Creek. | |

Iced Mocha looks like just that -- he has just that taupey grayish frosted look to his dark brown fiber. With Meteor and Suri Lee (who sired several solid black crias, including Licoricia, the highest selling suri in the 2003 AOBA National Auction at $50,000) in his background, his potential to produce lots of color is boundless. We are especially excited about Mocha because he is a son of Snowmass Lightning Locks, four-time white Champion (including AOBA, MaPaca, and the Futurity). We purchased Lightning Locks to improve on some of our darker suris, hoping that he would also let color through, and he did both, giving us crias better than their dams and giving us lots of color. Iced Mocha is a very regal stretchy male, with beautiful locks and luster and perfect conformation. Breeding fee: $2,000.
After nearly 30 years in the fiber animal business (10 with sheep and almost 20 with alpacas), we are retiring from farming. This is your opportunity to own a part of one of the industrys most successful suri breeding programs. Everything and anything goes! All our prices have been reduced 50% and more, even more if you are buying the entire package! Financing is available with at least 20% down and monthly payments at 6% interest, or a 10% cash discount is available.
Awards Received Third Brown Yearling Suri Male, 2009 Sunshine State Alpaca Expo (at just 12 months of age, the youngest in his yearling class); Third Brown Yearling Suri Male, 2009 Carolina Alpaca Celebration (at just 12 months of age, the youngest in his yearling class); Third Brown Yearling Suri Male, Southern Select 2009 (at just 13 months of age, the youngest in his yearling class); and Third Bred and Owned Yearling Suri Male, Southern Select 2009 (at just 13 months of age, the youngest in the class).
