We started Mel's breeding career in 2007 with tremendous success - like a pro! He was bred to our full Peruvian foundation female - Poise&Ivy for a 7/2008 cria. We knew it would be a great match for superior fiber and conformation, but also for temperment. Mel's personality is extremely gentle and sweet. Lily's fleece is extremely fine, with a velvety hand, and with brightness and density. Lily is the first cria born to PureLine's Mellow Yellow (1/4 accoyo male), noted for his long staple length with bold crimp. Mellow Yellow has dark lineage on his sire's side and fine, White background behind his dam, Allegheny Peruvian Willow, a fleece show blue ribbon winner.
Lily's dam is Peruvian Poise & Ivy, with both her sire and dam being Dark Fawn.
In mid-September 2011, Lily delivered a beautiful girl, CCAP Valley Girl, sired by El Nino's Valerian, a 3/4 Accoyo full-Peruvian Light Fawn herdsire, noted for his denseness and lingering fineness!
