We call Planita Gold "Champagne" because of beautiful champagne color. She is a solid, big-boned female and has produced three large crias. Her first-born, Legacy Ice (named for his sire, Snowmass Legacy Gold) is now one of our herdsires, and has produced two crias. Her daughter, Champagne Velvet, birthed a true black boy, Obsidian. Her son, Demetrius, placed second at the AOBA Nationals in Ft. Wayne.

Champagne Velvet was a very large cria, weighing in at 21.6lbs.She has matured into a large-framed (176 lbs), beautiful dark brown girl. Her fleece is very dense, with a long staple length.
On May 27th, she delivered a beautiful true black male cria. He weighed in at 17 1/2 pounds and we named him Obsidian. Velvet is an excellent mother and "Sid" is very independent. He has a cute nose and is fun to watch as he romps and plays. He is quite easy to weigh. We say "get weighed", and (with a little guidance)he steps right on the scale. The 4-H kids loved petting him, and he loved the attention.
If you purchase Champagne Velvet while Obsidian is still nursing, he will come along as a bonus. (After mid-November, he will be sold separately.) This is a real opportunity.
She is bred to Lookout's Darius for a late May 2012 delivery.
