Accoyo America Safflower
White, 839560, Peruvian
Safflower is a Caligula daughter bred by Pacific Crest. Her dam is Sajama, Pacific Crest's first choice from the '95 importation. Safflower is a big, proud dam with dense, soft brilliant fleece with a nice handle. She has a solid, large frame and like her dam has heavy bone.
Vengador's Robinson Crusoe
White, 820498, Peruvian
Vengador's Robinson Crusoe is a product of the Pacific Crest breeding program. His sire, Vengador, is one of the most influential and well respected full Accoyo imports. He has 212 cria on the ground. Robinson Crusoe's dam is Accoyo Yemaya, a '98 import & foundation female for Accoyos of America. Crusoe is owned by Flying Pony Alpacas and Always Accoyo Alpacas. He is a dense, true-to-type Accoyo herdsire with a bright, high character fleece. He has a solid frame with good bone and presence.
Mayflower is exactly what you would expect her to be based on her lineage. She has incredible dense crimpy fine fiber, excellent coverage, & beautiful conformation. She is a full Accoyo blend of Caligula & Vengador genetics.
Her dam, Safflower, was purchased at Pacific Crest's Parade of Champions sale. Safflower is the daughter of Caligula & Sajoma, Pacific Crest's first choice in the '95 importation. Mayflower's sire is Vengador's Accoyo Robinson Crusoe owned by Flying Pony Alpacas & Always Accoyo Alpacas. He is a very dense, typey hersire with bright, high character fleece like his sire, Vengador.
Mayflower is at the very beginning of her reproductive career. She delivered her first cria out of Accoyo Pinachi, in the summer of '08 & proved herself to be an excellent mom. Her delivery was problem free. She had plenty of milk & her cria, Sunflower Girl, grew fast & strong & has since had a remarkable cria, Accoyo Cosmo, at Rock Garden Alpacas.
Mayflower's fleece is exquisite. She is extremely dense, very crimpy & her fleece has a very soft handle. We will rebred Mayflower to Invasion. In 2010 this pair gave us an incredible Accoyo girl, Elizabeth Tilly who took a blue at her very first (and only) halter show. Tim Lavan loved her look and her fleece and placed her over 8 other beautiful white girls in a very competitive class. At Tilley's very first (and only) fleece show she took the championship. We are thrilled with her fiber, coverage and conformation, and we'd love another one just like her! Invasion has the elite fleece and near perfect conformation that allowed judges from around the country to award him 16 blue ribbons, The Judge's Choice Award, and Best Brightness Award in addition to his 8 championships. Between this and the quality of Elizabeth Tilley, are you surprised we would breed Mayflower to anyone else? Another Elizabeth Tilley - even in male form - would be just fine by us! She will be bred first thing in the spring 2012.
