White, 839563, Peruvian
Accoyo Thai Orchid is out of Accoyo Tayamamba, a foundation female for Accoyos of America whose import record boasts a + for crimp lock, leg, body and head and a ++ for density and the infamous Zen Do. Zen Do is out of Don Julio Barreda's Select B-line herd which was raised specifically for fine and uniform fleeces. Zen Do's fiber stats are very impressive. 18.8 AFD, 2.5 SD, 13.4 CV, and 0%>30! He won the coveted Judge's Choice Fleece Award at the Y2K Fleece Show. Thai Orchid is the result of the fusion of these two superior alpaca's genetics.

Accoyo Thai Blossom of Alpavo (Bred to Stratosphere)
Thai Blossom is one beautiful full Accoyo alpaca. She comes from top-notch lineage and has the elite fiber representative of her impressive genetics. She has also proven she can reproduce these sought after Accoyo fleece characteristics in her offspring.
Blossom has Caligula as a paternal grandsire & Zen Do as a maternal grandsire. Her Caligula genes come by the way of Sire, Accoyo American Atticus, a multiple champion at impressive shows including the 2003 AOBA Reserve Champion in the class most difficult to ribbon in - white! He is very dense and very fine with a 15.7 micron count. Blossom's maternal grandsire, Accoyo Zen Do is out of the rare Accoyo- B line. This is the select line Julio Barreda bred for fineness and perfect uniformity of fleece. Pacific Crest described Zen Do as the perfect embodiemnt of this line. It is because of these elite genetics that Thai Blossom has the fiber she does.
Thai Blossom herself is simply stunning. She has a gorgeous head, nice coverage, and fleece that is so dense that it is difficult to part! Her fleece is very soft with a micron count of just 19.5. It's also very uniformally soft with a coefficient of variation of just 20. These are the kinds of numbers indicating the fleece quality we are looking for in an elite breeding program.
As would be expected, her first cria, Accoyo Apple Blossom, has beautiful fiber herself. Thai Blossom comes from impressive lineage, has the fiber and statistics on that fiber to be classified as elite, and has now produced her first cria who looks like she will become a knockout herself. She comes from high quality, she is high quality and now she has proven she can produce high quality.
Last year we are delighted with her MEDIUM fawn Invasion cria, Accoyo Defiance. He's gorgeous - dense, crimpy, and dark. This year she produced another knock out in beige with Stratosphere. We've rebred her to Strat for her 2013 cria, sure to be gorgeous!
