Valentino has a gorgeous head, beautiful fleece, and extreme coverage, a stud among studs, his capacity, coverage and beauty ooze "Herdsire". A look at his progeny and you realize that his potency rivals his looks. He has been breeding for Crescent Moon Ranch since 2003, and never disappointed their high standards. His ultra fine bay black fleece finally rose noticeably above 20 microns in his 5th year to 22.5 micron. That sustained fineness, along with outstanding density and his regal appeal have kept him in a very active position in Crescent Moon's breeding program.

Moonshadow's Obsession (MO) has always been a special girl to us. She has a great overall look, outstanding coverage with good density and long staple. She brings solid traits for a foundation dam, plus has a personality that is friendly and easy going. She is a fleece machine and certainly received some outstanding qualities from her incredible Sire, Crescent Moon's Valentino. Her mom was no slouch either and we were thrilled with MO from the moment she was born, she was certainly one of the most beautiful cria and has always been a ranch favorite. We never thought we would part with her, we are proud to offer her and know she has great qualities to add to any colored breeding program.
MO is an outstanding mom and has been a natural from her first delivery. Easy breeding, easy delivery, plenty of milk and a very attentive mom. MO had her first cria from breeding to Sunset Hill's Andean Gold. What a knock out! Great head, strong bone and dense, dense, crimpy soft fleece! He went to 2 shows in 2010 taking a 4th at GWAS in class of 15, 5th at CABA of 14...very stiff competition! Her second cria, Golden Mojita, from Snowmass Golden Victory is another awesome example of MO's incredible potential as a production dam and took 2nd Place at NW Alpaca Showcase. MO had a gorgeous female, Monique, out of A-PEX, a multiple award winning son of Peruvian Andrajo very well known for his lasting fineness. We couldn't be happier with Monique, she is all we could have hoped for in this pairing and took 2nd and 3rd in her first 2 very competitive shows.
For her 2012 cria, we bred MO to our superfine, up and coming young stud, Bootlegger. It's always exciting when a plan comes together, could be MO's nicest cria yet! Again, great phenotype, with bright crimpy dense fleece! Since we can't repeat this breeding because Bootlegger is now at his new home in Oregon, we will breed her to our superfine Matrix son, Snowmass Matrix Principe. No doubt will be another winner!
