Dancing Moon's Countess Alexis
Light Brown, 30455139, 1/2 Bolivian, 1/2 Peruvian
Countess Alexis is the REAL THING if you're truly looking for the next generation of suri alpaca. Daughter of Mahogany Prince and great grand-daughter of Acera Marka's Rag Top, Alexis IS the complete package from her conformation and color genetics, to her silky, lustrous, independent, consistent locks and EXTREME coverage that runs from the top of her ears to the tip of her toes!
Alexis already started her show career at 6 months placing 5th in the tough competition of the 2006 Futurity in Louisville. When she looked out over those long eyelashes and dark grey muzzle we can tell she's saying to the world, "Here I am! Aren't I beautiful?"
Alexis took Color Champion at Alpacamania 06 and 2nd Place at the Monterey Pronk '06! We're very proud of our Mahogany Prince girl!
She is currently bred to Greystone's Platinum Standard, a amazing Prince Greystone rose-grey son with fine fleece the consistent color of dark taupe!
Maserati is the Renaissance Man for Suri Alpacas. He has is all!
Lets start with his fleece. Open him up, anywhere on his body, including his legs, and youll find lustrous, ropey, dense, fine locks. His consistency is incredible. His density is incredible. His luster is incredible. The quality and the quantity of his fleece is exceptional.
One thing that is very important to me is an alpacas temperament. Maserati not only is very obedient and very gentle, he is perhaps the most intelligent alpaca on my farm. Ive been clicker-training him and he is the most receptive and the absolute fastest learner that I have. The only limiting factor in his training is the trainer, me.
Lets go to his pedigree. His sire is the Herdsire of Champions, Accoyo Torbio. He has all the positive, Accoyo traits that the pre-potent Torbio has been known to pass on. His dam is My Peruvian Capellini, a multiple blue
Portia carries an awesome genetic package from both her Color Champion dam, Countess Alexis (daughter of Mahogany Prince) and her sire, Jill Bergman's Alpine Alpaca's Torbio's Maserati.
She is a wonderful girl with solid conformation, bone and coverage. Her fleece is an amazingly fine, shiney, dense, consistent coppery brown and her muzzle and neck fiber show taupey and grey tones. We think this girl will throw black or grey very easily.
She was evaluated at Weatherd T Ranch's latest Production Pen Sale by judges at $20,000.
Portia carried a 20 micron count fleece with a 4.1 SD and a 97.5% comfort factor.
She is gave us a spot on taupey brown boy with black points, bred to our black, Reserve Color Champion and 1st Place winning herdsire "Legend's Dark Knight" who's sire "Mac's Legend" is full brother to Captain Morgan. And is now bred to Tanglewood's Champion "Red Storm Rising" for a 2013 spring cria.
