Medium Silver Grey, 824865, 1/2 Chilean, 1/2 Peruvian
This Timoteo granddaughter is a lovely medium silver gray with very dark markings. Her fleece is dense and an extraordinarily fine 18.6 AFD for a six year old gray female. Incredible!! It must be the influence of her Accoyo herdsire. She has had several outstanding crias, a medium silver gray female named Gypsy Rose, a light silver gray female, Helicia, a dark silver gray male, Phantom, and two bay black females, BB and Isabel. She delivered a strapping 22 lb. cria, Isabel, without assistance. She is a fabulous mom with lots of milk. Miss Katie has been bred to Calypsa for a spring 2009 cria.
SHRA Calypsa
Light Fawn, 819705, Full Peruvian
An Accoyo son of Felix and a grandson of Caligula on his dam's side, Calypsa possesses a regal bearing and perfect conformation. With his commanding presence, it is no surprise that Calypsa captured a first place at the 2001 AOBA Nationals. His lustrous, champagne-colored fleece is extremely fine and dense. His AFD at 4 years of age was a low 22.5 microns. This year he sheared an amazing 11 pounds of fleece! He has won either first or second place in every Spin-Off he has entered.
He has 25 outstanding crias on the ground showing a variety of colors including beige, fawn, light brown, true black, rose gray, and silver gray. Calypsa is one of those rare Accoyos who lets the color of the dam pass through while passing along his density and fineness to his crias.
At the 2005 East Meets West Auction, Calypsa's daughter, Brookhollow's Athena, was the highest selling female at $60,000! His daughter Beauchner's Jasmine just won best light color championship at the 2
Jocelyn is the biggest girl ever born on our farm and her fleece is one of the best and biggest: crimpy, dense and tightly bundled like her sire, Calypsa's. She has won ribbons in large classes is every show she has entered. She is giving strong signs that she is ready to breed. She would certainly be an ideal choice for a starter herd. She was born just a few days after her due date, but looked like a month-old cria at birth weighing in at a whopping 25.2 lbs! For her dam, it was just another routine birth. Her last cria, Isabel was 22 lbs., so she has a history of giving birth to mammoth crias. Her dam is dark silver gray Timoteo granddaughter, half-Accoyo with extremely fine fleece for an older girl. Her sire is our notable Accoyo, SHRA Calypsa, who carries a black gene from Felix so we think there is a very good chance that she will throw gray if bred to black or gray in the future. Jocelyn has flawless conformation, a very sweet and calm disposition and should be a darling in the show ring. She won ribbons in both a very large juvi class in 2010 and as a yearling at the very competitive 2011 MAPACA Jubilee. We were delighted with the judge's comments concerning her crimp, density and stapel length. She sells with a free breeding to any of our herdsires. We recommend Painted Spring Impresario.
