| | | If geneticists could "build to suit," I daresay they would not come close to producing Caligula's Casanova. Casanova is, simply put, one of the most arresting-looking machos around. Even more importantly, he is producing his type for us, such that farm visitors are not just saying "who's that guy?" but rather "who are those guys??"
Casanova represents the pinnacle of Accoyo/Alianza cross genetics. For us, he exemplifies what our huacaya breeding program is all about. Casanova offspring exhibit consistency of fineness, character and staple formation that goes the distance -- all the way to the fetlocks, in many instances!

Caligula Casanova's Adysontu is a 5/8 Alianza, 1/4 Accoyo white gem. "Ady" at 14 months old sheared the heaviest weight blanket of any alpaca on our farm. Not only does she have staple length and density, density, density, her softness, brightness, and crimp are amazing! She is easy to handle and has been trained for obstacles as well. If you are looking for a show girl who can do it all, come visit us and get your hands on her.
Ady has now been confirmed as bred to our Full Accoyo Herdsire "FPA The Babe's Matteo", for a Sept 2010 cria. We think that this pairing should produce an "elite" cria! Just look at the combined show records of these two below.
