FF Chenille

True Black, 1002447, 1/2 Chilean, 1/2 Peruvian

Chenille is a secret weapon. She's a rather unassuming alpaca who has the wonderful ability of producing ribbon winning crias! Out of a light silver gray dam and a dark brown sire, Chenille also has true black in her background. Chenille has a gentle disposition and demeanor - she is a pleasure to work with. Chenille has proven to be a good producer for our program - giving us two lovely females in a row!

Chenille's 2008 cria, sired by INUENDO, arrived in a rich chocolate brown and was a girl to boot! Chenille's daughter, Chocolate Indulgence, came home from the 2009 North American Alpaca Show wearing a red ribbon.

Chenille was bred to Patagonia's AMICUS for her 2009 cria. AMICUS was the 2007 Reserve Champion at the Futurity as a juvenile! He is the son of two legendary grey champion alpacas - with his sire being an elite rose grey and his dam being a knockout silver grey. Chenille gave us another ribbon winner in "VAC's Blue Indigo" - the spitting image of her si

  Patagonia's Amicus
    True Black, 629186, 7/8 Chilean, 1/8 Peruvian

With his gorgeous head and strong frame, Amicus exhibits a beautiful phenotype. Packed full of fiber that is dense, lustrous, and wonderfully crimpy, we were excited to add this true black herdsire to our program.

As listed below, Amicus brought home the ribbons during his first year on the show circuit! This is not surprising considering the successes of both his dam and his sire. Patagonia's La Bohemia, a Danko daughter, is a beautiful silver grey female whose show record is impressive and includes four color championships. Amicus' sire, Kaspa, really needs no introduction. His rosegrey fiber is a beautiful shade of pink and has brought him high acclaim in the show ring where he has won six championships.

Amicus is a treasure and easily settles females. His crias show incredible luster, crimp, strong bone, and his gorgeous head. They also inherit Amicus' sweet temperament. Amicus has thrown true black, silver grey, and light rose grey.

VAC's Blue Indigo is the lustrous spitting image of her sire, Patagonia's Amicus. Beautiful true black, Indigo has nice straight lines. Her family tree is filled with rich color and with multi-champions such as Kaspa, Danko, and La Bohemia.

Indigo's dam has proven to be an incredible producer for us and has definitely passed on her gentle personality to her daughter.

Indigo closed out our 2012 birthing season on September 15th - presenting us with a beautiful black Beethoven daughter. We named this deep dark beauty Beethoven's Primrose. Primrose sold at The 2013 Futurity auction and went on to win the BLUE in her class the very next day!

We will be repeating Indigo's breeding to Beethoven this Spring.
